Our Solar Technology

Our Solar range of green solar and energy storage products use environmentally friendly materials and unique processes developed by global leaders in solar photovoltaic energy technology and fire protection.

With global warming, we are seeing an increasing number of devastating climate disaster in various parts of the world.  Millions of people across the world have lost their homes, livelihoods and loved ones because of more dangerous and more frequent extreme weather events.

To slow down global warming and avert deadly climate events, there is currently a transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy. Solar energy is the dominant form of renewable energy currently available.

Pico Solar (a subsidiary of FSI) is a cleantech corporation focussed on the fabrication of perovskite solar panels.  Perovskite solar panels are artificially synthesised from combining various organic and inorganic compounds.  As perovskite solar panels can be made using low-cost, commercially available, non-toxic raw materials, it means that the sovereign manufacture of perovskite panels is a possibility.

Perovskite solar panels have several advantages over traditional silicon solar panels.  Perovskite is about 1% the thickness of silicon solar cells and its cost is expected to be less than half of the material cost of traditional silicon solar cells.  Perovskite solar panels can come in different colours, including red, orange, yellow, brown and so on, making perovskite panels ideal for Building Integrated PV products.

Perovskites could one day help the world achieve its solar ambitions and decarbonise the power grid.  Researchers at Pico Solar are working with international equipment manufacturers to develop the production lines required for the mass manufacture of perovskite solar panels.

Perovskite technology is greener and more affordable than traditional solar panels, meaning increased savings for customers.
